The Friends are a community group whose mission is to provide support to the Eurobodalla Regional Botanic Gardens (ERBG).
In 1985 Eurobodalla Coastwatchers Association Inc first suggested that there was a need to preserve and protect the native plants of the region. The idea of a 'living museum' of local flora started to take hold and the Coastwatchers put a formal proposal to Council.
Since its inception in 1986, Eurobodalla Regional Botanic Gardens has received fantastic support from the Friends of ERBG, as well as many other community groups and individuals. To gain an overview of some of their major initiatives we invite you to
Friends, aided by the generous donation of specimens by Dr and Mrs Wallace, established the Herbarium. An herbarium is a collection of preserved specimens usually in a dried form mounted on a sheet. Friends and volunteers manage the Herbarium for the Gardens.
